Empty bottles, rocks and broken pieces of pottery placed at the bottom of the pot to create aeration and drainage for healthy roots is a myth. Debris will introduce bacteria into your soil, only raising the water table and your plants remain unhealthy. Root Warrior design was purposely angled at 15 degrees to lessen soil compaction allowing excessive water to drain out and away from the roots.
