Think of it like this: An old, basic pot causes roots to circle, get tangled and root bound. Air pruning with the Root Warrior is a simple, drop-in solution for training the roots to branch out and form a thick, fibrous network that can now absorb more nutrients and water. Simple. Easy. Reusable.

Empty bottles, rocks, broken pieces of pottery and pool noodles placed at the bottom of the pot to create aeration and drainage is a myth. Tossing stuff inside only raises the water table from the bottom of the pot to above the water bottles and rocks, the roots remain waterlogged in compacted soil. We purposely angled the Root Warrior at 15 degrees to lessen soil compaction, to naturally air prune the roots and prevent waterlogged soil allowing excessive water to drain out and away from the roots.
